Travel and transport update – January 2018
The NHS partners know from conversations with the public both before and during the public consultation on the Path to excellence that people are very concerned about how they will reach hospital services as a result of any future changes to the way services are arranged. This report has been written to provide an update on travel and transport work to date and early key tasks that have been identified to help minimise travel and transport impact.
The Path to Excellence travel and transport working group – terms of reference
The Path to Excellence Travel and Public Transport Working Group (the group) is established as a sub group of the Programme Management Group, in accordance with the governance arrangements for the Path to Excellence programme and the South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Partnership.
Independent, Integrated, Equality, Health and Health Inequalities, Impact Assessment
These reports have been prepared by an independent public health specialist.
Health Inequalities Impact Assessment (HIIA) is a tool used during NHS service reform planning to assess the potential of any policy, plan, proposal or decision to reduce or increase health inequalities. Many policies have the potential to impact on health inequalities and this is critical information that the NHS will need to consider in making their final decision.
These fact sheets provide a summary of the reasons why these services need to change as well as summarising the difference these changes will make to people of South Tyneside and Sunderland.
Review of consultation methodology and compliance with statutory engagement
This paper will remain in draft for feedback over the period of consideration of the public feedback from the consultation phase. It will be finalised for the joint committee in common of the two CCG governing bodies in order to provide a final assurance around the processes followed for the public consultation.
